Rubella antibody testing and vaccination project for adult men/成人男性の風しん抗体検査・予防接種事業

  In order to prevent the occurrence and spread of rubella, the rubella antibody tests and prophylaxis will be conducted for men born between April 2, 1962 and April 1, 1979, who had never had the opportunity to receive rubella vaccination. Routine vaccination based on the Immunization Act is provided free of charge.

This system was implemented as a temporary measure from 2019 to 2021, but the implementation period will be extended from 2022 to 2024.

 There is no change in the subjects, how to take the test, etc.

A man born between April 2, 1962 and April 1, 1979

  In FY2022, free coupons will be sent to those born between April 2, 1962 and April 1, 1979 who meet either of the following conditions.

• Those who have not been tested

• Those who are eligible for vaccination according to test results but have not been vaccinated

Coupons will be sent sequentially from April to May, 2023.

If you have not received your coupon after June, if you have lost your coupon, or if you have moved to Nagahama after April, please apply using the form below or contact the Health Promotion Division/ Kenko Suishinka, it can be reissued.

Once you have received the coupon, please make an appointment at the following institution and take an antibody test. As a result of the antibody test, those who have low antibodies will be vaccinated against rubella (measles-rubella mixed vaccine).

　・You will need coupons for both the antibody test and vaccination, so please bring them with you.

　・The Implementing agency may be required to present identification documents since you need the coupons issued by the municipality with a resident card.　

・Those who have moved to Nagahama City and have coupons issued in the municipality before moving in will issue coupons of Nagahama City, so please contact the Health Promotion Division (65-7759).
