To prevent this, pay particular attention to the following points.

1. Pre-epidemic influenza vaccination

*The Japanese Society for Infectious Diseases strongly recommends influenza vaccination for medical personnel, the elderly, high-risk groups (pregnant women, etc.), and children (especially infants to lower grades of elementary school).

2. Hand washing and disinfection of fingers with alcohol preparations

3. Keep cough etiquette in mind

・ Wear a mask

・ Do not cough or sneeze toward other people

・ Wear a mask when coughing or sneezing

・ Wash your hands if you take a cough or sneeze with your palm

4. Gargle when you get home.

5. Refrain from going out if you have a cold

6. Diligent ventilation

7. Keep a distance from people

About subsidy for influenza vaccination

Influenza is caused by infection with the influenza virus. The main symptoms include fever above 38 ° C, headache, arthralgia, and muscle aches. In particular, elderly people and those with chronic diseases such as respiratory organs may become severe with pneumonia.

Nagahama City will subsidize influenza vaccination costs for all citizens.

Early vaccination is recommended, especially for the following people:

1.65 years old and over [from October 1st]

2. Healthcare workers, people with underlying illness, pregnant women, children up to the second grade of elementary school [from October 26th]

※ Those other than the above are requested to cooperate with vaccination after October 26th.

※For vaccination reservations, please contact the medical institution directly.

About influenza vaccination for the elderly (65 years old and over)

Eligible persons

Those who have a resident registration in Nagahama city and who fall under any of the following

1. Those who are 65 years old or older on the day of inoculation

2. Those who are 60 to 64 years old on the day of inoculation and have impaired heart, kidney, respiratory function or immune function due to human immunodeficiency virus (Person with a physical disability certificate 1st grade)

Inoculation period

October 1 Thursday to December 31 Thursday, 2020

Free of charge

Implementing medical institutions

Nagahama city・Maibara city implementing medical institutions

About influenza vaccination for people aged 6 months to 64 years

Eligible persons

Those who have a resident registration in Nagahama City

Inoculation period

October 1 Thursday to December 31 Thursday, 2020

Number of inoculations

Once during the period  (In principle, twice for those under 13 years old)

Cost of vaccination

We will subsidize 2000 yen per session.

If you are vaccinated at a cooperating medical institution, please pay the amount set by each medical institution minus 2000 yen.

※Please see the attached file for cooperating medical institutions.

When inoculating at other than cooperating medical institutions

If you have been vaccinated against influenza at a medical institution other than the cooperating medical institutions (medical institutions other than Nagahama City and Maibara City, etc.), please contact the Health Promotion Division in advance.
