    Pediatric emergency telephone consultation

For children who are injured or become suddenly ill during the night on a holiday, in Shiga prefecture we ask parents about their symptoms and, depending on the details, we provide appropriate advice on how to treat them and the need to visit a medical institution. We provide pediatric emergency telephone consultation.

    Consultation day and time

Weekdays and Saturdays: 18;00 to 8;00 the next morning

Sundays, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays (December 29th to January 3rd):

    9;00 a.m. to 8;00 a.m. the next morning

Please make appropriate visits to the clinic on weekday nights and Saturdays.

When patients with mild, non-urgent symptoms visit the emergency department, pediatricians are overburdened, making it difficult to maintain the pediatric emergency care system as it is.

Originally, emergency medical treatment was used when a patient's condition suddenly worsened on holidays or at night. We ask for your cooperation so that those whose lives are at risk can receive appropriate treatment.
