The "Child Medical Expenses Voucher" cannot be used when you receive a medical examination at a medical institution outside the prefecture.

When you receive a medical examination at a medical institution outside the prefecture, please pay the burden (medical expenses) once at the counter and be sure to receive a receipt and a statement that shows the details of medical treatment. From the following month onward, you can receive a subsidy (refund) for medical expenses by applying for a refund to Nagahama city. For details on the refund application procedure, please see "Refund procedure" here.
