A small fire broke out at a bulky garbage disposal facility! - Be careful how you dispose of your garbage!

At approximately 11;30 AM on Monday, September 8, 2025, a small fire broke out at our non-burnable and bulky garbage processing facility (Clean plant).

The source of the fire has not been identified, but it is believed that the inclusion of lithium-ion batteries, gas cartridges, and spray cans may have been a contributing factor.

Fortunately, there was no equipment damage, but in some cases, this could have led to a large-scale fire, personal injury, or even long-term equipment shutdown.

To prevent such accidents, please put lithium-ion batteries in collection containers marked 「使用ずみ乾電池類」"Used dry-cell batteries" on collection days for recyclable garbage. Also, be sure to use up all the contents of spray cans and puncture them before putting them in collection containers marked 「スプレー缶類」"Spray cans" on collection days for recyclable garbage. Please follow the rules for sorting and disposing of your garbage appropriately.
