Nagahama City Multicultural Community Development Guideline 長浜市多文化共生のまちづくり指針

Both Japanese and foreign residents of Nagahama recognize each other as people who live in Nagahama, communicate with each other, and respect each other. With the aim of "Town development", Nagahama City has formulated a town development guideline for multicultural coexistence. In March 2023, based on changes in social conditions, etc., we reviewed the guidelines so that we can respond more appropriately to the current situation.

※For questionnaires, interviews, translations, etc. related to the revision of the guidelines, we utilized the multicultural town development promotion project subsidy of the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations.

Aiming at the realization of the basic guidelines, in order to further promote multicultural community development, we have formulated the measures that the city and related organizations should take the target years to be implemented and "The 3rd Nagahama City Multicultural Town Development Guideline Action Plan" that embodies numerical targets.
