    [From January 2025] Nagahama City Hall opening hours have changed.

    [Regarding changes in office hours]

    Starting in January 2025, we have changed our opening hours. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    Before: 8;30 am to 5;15 pm

    After: 9;00am to 4;45 pm

    ※After a trial period starting in January 2025, full implementation will begin in April 2025.

    Why are you making the change?

    This is being implemented as part of efforts to reform employee working styles and improve operations, taking into account the expansion of electronic application procedures and the normalization of overtime work due to preparations before the start of business and processing after closing time.

    Can I complete the procedure without coming to the counter?

    Nagahama City is promoting the digitalization of administrative procedures, and by increasing the number of procedures that can be completed without coming to the counter, we aim to improve convenience for all residents.

    What will happen to the extended service hours on Thursdays?

    What will happen to phone calls to City Hall?

    From January 2025, direct calls to each division will be answered by voice guidance outside of business hours. In the case of an emergency outside of business hours, the main phone number (night duty, etc.) will be used.


    Will employee working hours also change?

    Employee working hours will not change. By reviewing the procedures that have been routinely carried out outside of working hours (preparation before the office opens, paperwork and meetings after the office closes, etc.), we expect to prevent administrative errors and reduce overtime work by carrying out administrative duties appropriately.
