New Marriage Life Support Project 結婚新生活支援事業

In order to support the new life of newlywed households and households that have taken a partnership oath in Nagahama City, we will subsidize a portion of the housing and moving costs of a new home.

Households that meet all of the following conditions

·    Households that submitted a marriage registration or took a partnership oath and had it accepted between January 1, 2024 and March 15, 2025.

·     At the time of application, the address on the resident record of the married couple or those making the oath (hereinafter referred to as "couple, etc.") is the location of the residence pertaining to the application.

·    Households where both husband and wife are under 39 years of age at the time of marriage or swearing-in.

·   Households where the combined income of married couples, etc. in 2023 is less than 5000.000 yen (if you are repaying a loan-type scholarship, the annual repayment amount of the loan-type scholarship will be deducted from your household in)

 ·    Households that have not received similar subsidies in the past, including other municipalities

·    Households that do not receive rent subsidies from other public systems

·    Households with no delinquency in city taxes, etc.

·    If neither spouse has Japanese nationality, one of them has permanent residence in Japan based on the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act (Cabinet Order No. 319 of 1951) and other laws and regulations.

The following expenses incurred between April 1, 2024 and March 15, 2025

·    Expenses for acquiring new properties

·    New housing rental expenses (deposit, key money, brokerage fee, rent, common service fee for one month) However, if housing allowance is provided by your employer, rent subsidy is excluded

·    Housing renovation costs (excluding construction work such as garages and storerooms, exterior construction work, simple dismantling or removal work, and costs related to purchase and installation of home appliances, etc.)

·    Moving costs (actual costs paid to movers or carriers)

(Up to 600,000 yen if both spouses are under 29 years old at the time of marriage or oath).

From June 1, 2024 to March 15, 2025

※However, the offer will end as soon as the budget limit is reached.

·    Nagahama City New Marriage Life Support Project Subsidy Application and Invoice (Form No. 1)

·    Documents certifying marriage (copy of family register or certificate of acceptance of marriage registration) or a copy of the document evidencing the partnership oath (a copy of the partnership oath receipt or a copy of the receipt card) 

·    Certificate of residence of all household members (without individual number)

·    Income certificate for couple etc. (The latest one. Please obtain it at your current address as of January 1st)

·    A written oath (Form No.3)

·    A copy of your account confirmation (Copy of the back cover of your passbook or cash card)

※A handling fee is required to obtain a family register, resident card, etc., so please check in advance whether your household is eligible for subsidies.

·    Copies of housing sales contract, construction contract, etc. (if housing is acquired) 

     ※The amount of money for the building must be stated.

·    A copy of the housing lease agreement (if renting housing)

·    Copies of receipts, etc. for housing expenses

·    Renovation work contract

·    Copies of receipts, etc. for renovation expenses

·    Copies of receipts related to moving

• If you are receiving a housing allowance from your employer: Housing allowance payment certificate
• If you have repaid a loan-type scholarship: Documents that can confirm the repayment amount of the loan-type scholarship
• In addition, we may ask you to submit other documents that the mayor deems necessary.
